Autojoin invite channels or multiple connect commands with Xchat
by iam8up on Feb.24, 2010, under geeky, linux, windows
Open the network list and on the server you want to do multiple commands with, specify the connect command
/LOAD -e .\profile\somecommands.txt
Then in somecommands.txt
/msg thebot !join foo bar
/timer 8 join #firstchaninvite
/timer 8 join #topsecret
For me I am start xchat with
xchat.exe -d ".\profile"
making the profile directory easy. By default it’s either in ~/.xchat2 or “%appdata%\X-Chat 2″.
XChat by Silverex for Windows made portable

Silverex’s faq suggests that you can copy and paste the example and run it. It doesn’t work for me and I believe it to be wrong.
I am using DropBox which should act exactly like a thumb drive. May cause havok with multiple clients running at the same time. I only use it on one PC but like having a backup.
I installed XChat to C:\Documents and Settings\jluthman\My Documents\My Dropbox\xchat
Then created C:\Documents and Settings\jluthman\My Documents\My Dropbox\xchat\STARTXCHAT.bat
set PATH=%PATH%;.\lib
start xchat.exe -d ".\myxchatsettingsdir"
Works for me.
UPDATE: There are TONS of questions asking how to hide the batch window while an executable called from a batch script is being run. Just invoke the executable with start.
